You know besides having that oh so wonderful only child syndrome Rayceen is a fairly normal 17 year old girl. Have you ever heard that sane that you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl? Well lets just replace the word country with Texas and there you have it. She’s a Texan through and through, and you know it’s something she’s so proud of. Really have you ever met people from any other state that were as proud as Texans are of their home? Nope probably not. That’s why it’s the Lone Star State! 

Rayceen’s family moved here to Ridgefield because her father got a job offer that he just couldn’t pass up, they did offer for Ray to stay back and live with her Aunt and Uncle so that she could finish our her high school years with her friends, but she is such a Daddy’s girl that she couldn’t bare to part from her parents just yet. That day is just around the corner! And then yes of course she’ll be on her way back home! Heading straight towards the capital city itself. Austin, Texas.

Now since she’s been here her life had just seemed to be nothing short of a whirlwind. She told herself that she would come here to make friends, to finish the year of quickly, without pain and without any attachment. But that was quickly thrown to the sharks! She met Dominic Ritter and for some unknown reason she really fell for the guy, his rough appearance, tattoos, smoking, the rough mechanic hands! Maybe it was the whole something different aspect. But shortly after falling for the guy he up and left! Go figure! This is just another example of why a girls Daddy is the only mand that she can actually count on.

Now the first half of the year almost seems like a blur as she looks back on it. She has one more semester to make this year what everyone has always told her that it should be. And that’s what she plans to do. To make awesome memories and great friends. Take as much of this place with her when she leaves because she never plans on coming back, well at least not for anything longer thana visit with her parents! She knows she’s kept herself from really making this year rock, but that’s all behind her now. You only live once, there is no time to regret. No time to look back and wish you would have done something differently. Be yourself, it’s all you have! And if you don’t like you how in the world is anybody else seriously going to like you?

Laughter, whether she’s the cause of yours, or you’ve created hers, it’s a must for healthy happy living! She laughs loud, and well she’s not afraid to make a fool out of herself to get you to do the same. Maybe she’s a bit of a crowd pleaser, she likes to be liked, there ain’t a whole lot wrong with that though. Don’t underestimate the 5’2” appearance, she’s feisty and proud of it. You like, seriously you know you do!

Tell us a little about your Friends: Oh man! Where to start. Well first there’s Rylee Winters, you guys all know her right? She’s like my backbone, ok so I really have one of my own. But hmm maybe she’s more of my chiropractor? She puts me back inline when I get a little twisted up! Then there’s the one and only Landon Carter, gotta love that confidence of his. He makes me smile, reminds me of my friends back home, he’s kind of a protector or sorts. Then theirs Brodie, I just met her through Rylee, those two have one thing in common, disliking someone with a passion. I’ll umm keep that name to myself though. I’m not one to you know start a big fuss!

Tell us a little about your Family: Oh my gosh! I have like the best parents in the entire world! They’ve been married for almost 26 years! They are my inspiration and I only hope I can experience the love that they have in my own life someday. Daddy is the one man that will never let me down. Ok yeah I know I’m 17 and I still call him Daddy, what can I say I love him! My mother has this contagious smile, she has an unbelievable talent when it comes to working with kids. My Dad, well he blows my mind! He’s a philosophy professor at the college here in town. I dunno what he’s talkin about half the time. But he’d rather me give him those little dazed and confused looks than nod and act like I do, so yeah it’s just us at home, but we have a good time!

Favorite Restaurant or Cafe? Would have to say the Mexican kitchen! Only cause I'm a Mexican food junkie! But your northern folks ain't got nothin on Tex Mex! It'll do til I get back home though!

Favourite Shop? O.K. so seriously I don't see anything wrong with savin a buck! So yeah I frequent the Save-A-Buck store! I'll admit it! Hey they've got freaking everything there! Most of it breaks like the day you buy it, like the sunglasses that are still laying in the back seat of my car, but yeah so it's not my favorite, but it fascinates me how you could like live out of that store. Alright so I would never buy any clothing items from there, but you get the point already!

FavoriteSchool Subject? Hmm, music history I guess. It really is kinda cool to learn some of this stuff. Like when we learned about the Beatles I must have listened to the song, we all live in a yellow submarine like a million time!

Least Favorite School Subject? French…I so shoulda stuck with Spanish, I would have actually used it in Texas!

What are your plans for after Senior Year? Wellll, now that you ask. I’m going to the University of Texas! I’m leeeaving on a jet plane! Ok not really I have to drive there with all my stuff but you get the point! I mean yeah I love it here and all ok that’s a lie too, I miss the warm weather and wearing my flip flops all year long. But yeah I’m moving to Austin, you know live in the dorms and all that good stuff. Hook em Horns!

Where would you like to be in ten years time? Really now I’d like to be graduated, which seriously 10 years better be more than enough time! Have a good job, maybe we married? That wouldn’t be so bad. Don’t know about kids though, I’m just me right now, that’s how I’d like it to say for a little while. Heck I don’t know maybe I’ll run for Governor for the state of Texas! Y’all better vote for me! Oh guess you’d have to live there first huh?
