August: At a Glance

Monday, 8/18- Game starts: The end of Summer was upon us all and the students of Ridgefield enjoyed the last week of freedom before school begins. Temperatures ranged from warm to pleasantly hot and the weather was sunny and clear- all in all, a perfect end to the senior class's last summer as high schoolers.

Wednesday, 8/20- Open Day at Richmond- the school doors opened before the actual start of the term so that students both new and old could pick up class schedules and take tours of the campus.

Friday, 8/22- Preseason scrimmage match between Ridgefield and Pinebrook. In spite of Pinebrook managing to acquire some of Richmond's best football talent over the summer and getting a strong lead in the first half, in the end the Tigers prevailed, 28-24. This auspicious start to the sports season was followed by a party open to all students at quarterback  Danny Dixon's house.

Monday, 8/25- First day of school. Lifers, returning students, and a surprising amount of brand new new faces alike all entered Richmond to start the academic year off.

Friday, 8/29- Pep Rally after school, in the gym, followed by a football game where Richmond beat the Escanaba Wolverines: 42-14. The evening concluded with an invite-only party at Landon Carter's house.

Sunday, 8/31- Labor Day weekend- all in all? It was a fizzle. The whole 'last weekend of summer' just doesn't have the same feel once you've already started school, it seems, even with a three-day weekend to compensate.

September: At a Glance

Tuesday, 9/2- Pretty much as soon as the calendar flipped from one page to another, temperatures dropped and the clouds rolled in. The second week of school had a definite pall of gloom over it, with  showers rolling in Tuesday afternoon.. Students with a journalistic bent- or just an ear for gossip- could find themselves cheered by the publication of the year's first issue of the Richmond Reader .

Thursday, 9/4- The rains rolled back away over the lake and temperatures climbed back up into the comfortable warm range typical of September. This day also held the year's first blood drive in the Health room, hosted by the NHS. Turnout wasn't as high as could be hoped, so in the future, please: think about being a blood donor. If you've ever wanted to be someone's hero, it's a guaranteed way of achieving that. And you can never tell when it might be you who needs it...

Sat. 9/6- Saturday night marked this year's Senior Dance in the gym, the annual semiformal start of the school year event for Seniors and invited guests only. This was followed by Tripp Gibbons... attempt at an exclusive invitation-only after party. As social events go, this party was somewhere between the Hindenberg and the Titanic.

(2 week jump)

Friday. 9/26- Tonight's football game was played away, Richmond Tigers vs. the Oakland Blue Devils- by far the biggest blowout of not only Richmond's season, but the county and possible the entire district as well, with the Tigers devouring the devils, 45-0. This win was followed by a well-earned after party at Thad Atkinsons, open to all.

Tuesday, 9/30- Sat 10/4- Ridgefield residents had an additional diversion available to them all this week- Sunday night a carnival rolled into town and set up shop all along the pier in South Shore. The Ferris Wheel and Tunnel of Love proved popular, but so did just winning a teddy bear at the Ring Toss for your sweetie. In school-related news, Homecoming nominations were made this week, with the competition to be one of the five nominees fierce, especially among the ladies.

Thursday 10/2- After half a week's worth of politicking, the final list of nominees for Homecoming were announced today. Congratulations, both sincere and... less than sincere, were given to all those who made the ballot.

Sat 10/4- Junior football player Sean Akers throws an open invitation party at his house. While not the social event of the year, it is still well attended. Those who chose not to go had the chance to enjoy vendors and barkers offering bargains on food and games as the pier carnival wrapped up it's final night in town.

Monday, 10/20- By this time of the year, Autumn weather had fully kicked in, with cool temperatures in the 50's or lower common. Warming spirits up was the excitement among the student body for the upcoming Homecoming game and dance. All this week the school held Spirit Week celebrations to raise the level of excitement. Today was Pajama Day- all students were encouraged to come to school in their choice of sleepwear (within the boundaries of decency, of course) & at lunch a limbo contest was held.

Tuesday, 10/21- Spirit week continued with Celebrity Day, where students cane dressed as their favorite Celebrity, TV or Movie character. Following on that, a Pie Eating Contest was held during lunch.

Wednesday, 10/22- Sweetheart day, an annual tradition of Spirit Week, where male and female students are randomly paired off with one another, sometimes leading to romance, more often leading to amusing, at best, results. Sweethearts were, as always, expected to sit together during the special BBQ lunch provided.

Thursday, 10/23- Culture day! Students came to school dressed like someone from a foreign culture. In addition, today's lunchtime contest was an Oreo stacking contest, with the winner managing to stack their cookies 63 high.

Friday, 10/24- -The end of Spirit Week was at hand, but that didn't mean an end to excitement. Today was Spirit Day, with all students making an effort to come dressed in the school colors. Ramping up the fun was the kissing booth during lunch, featuring the talents and lips of the football team, cheerleaders, and Homecoming Court nominees. After school a most enthusiastic Pep Rally was held, followed by the event everyone had been waiting for, the annual Homecoming football game against Pinebrook, with another Tiger win, 20-17. That night then held the dance with the election of the King and Queen, (congratulations to Aaron Johnson and Kristen Brown!) followed by an after party into the dark hours of the morning at Wes Jaxon's house.

November: At a Glance

Saturday11/1- Everyone got out their masks and wigs today, as one of the last genuinely warm days of the old year greeted the beginning of November. While the night before had seen a fairly sorry excuse for a Halloween Dance at the school (did the committee spend all their decorating budget on Homecoming?) that few people worth being seen with bothered going to, Saturday night Ghoulish Chic still reigned as Erik Clements threw a one-night-late Halloween bash at his house, open to one and all. This night also saw a somewhat more exclusive gathering, as Stacey LeCroix-Martin and Danny Dixon co-threw a small, invite only slumber party at her home.

(2 week jump)

Monday 11/16- Grease was the word around school today, when the drama club lined up for their chance to shine as auditions for the fall musical were held.

Wednesday 11/18- The cast list for Grease was posted this morning; aside from that, it could be termed an unpleasant day at best, with temperatures plummeting below freezing for the first time after a long spell of mild to cool weather, along with a massive thunderstorm rolling in and pelting the town after dark, cancelling most outdoor sports practices. Between the temperature and the weather, it's no shock that multiple students call out sick over the next few days.

Friday 11/20- While the rain let up after two days, temperatures stayed low from this point onwards. This day marked a mass outing for the cast and crew of Grease, as they took to Uncle Joe's coffee shop for a night of caffeine and karaoke.

Sunday 11/22- Well, it had to happen sooner or later, and considering we're talking about Upper Michigan here, it's a miracle it held off this long: after what could be termed a pleasant Indian Summer, today marked the first fall of snow. Fortunately, while the residents of Ridgefield certainly grow sick of the stuff by the new year, the first fall is usually regarded as being a pleasant change of pace. Today proved no exception, with a gentle, if persistent, blanket of snow covering the ground.

Thursday 11/26- Thanksgiving. People ate. A lot.

Saturday 11/28- Today marked the final football game of the season, Ridgefield at home vs. the De Noch Pirates- everything rode on the line for this one, as the Tigers were just slightly behind the Pinebrook Mustang's in the division. Victory here would secure the championship for the season for Richmond... and they came through, neck and neck with the Pirates all through the game, ultimately going into overtime. In the end, a field goal secured a narrow victory for Richmond, with a final score of 22-19. The jubilant football team followed through on their triumphant season by renting a penthouse suite at the Ridgefield Resort Hotel and throwing a victory party open to all players and sports fans alike, lasting till the crack of dawn.

Monday 12/14- Saturday 12/19 This marks the last week of school for the fall semester, and with it came finals. Students had the mixed blessing of only needing to go to school for a few hours a day for their assigned class test periods, but those hours were spent in some of the most grueling examinations any of the students had ever experienced to date. Time not spent in school was mostly spent studying. Bringing some measure of comic relief to this week was the fall musical production of grease, running all week, Monday through Saturday at 8 PM.

Friday 12/18- With the semester officially coming to an end, most students looking to let off some steam went to the party at Tim Davenport's house on Friday night.

Saturday 12/19- Who said there was anything wrong with partying two nights in a row? With the final performance of Grease having gone up on this night, the only thing left to do was have a cast party- and so the cast, crew, and friends and fans alike showed up at Terrian Kesler's house to do so.

Friday 12/25- Merry Christmas!

Monday 12/28- Today marked the start of the senior winter break skiing trip to Whistler, British Columbia. Everyone taking the bus to Canada showed up bright and early in the morning in the school parking lot to get on board for more than 24 hours worth of cramped travel. Students flying to the great white north had the luxury of waiting an extra day to leave, as well as traveling in considerably more comfort. Those not travelling, due to lack of interest or lack of funds, found other ways to occupy their time in the now-quiet town of Ridgefield.

Tuesday 12/29- The official start of the ski trip- however they travelled there, students arrived today and checked in to their hotel. And while there was a significant mix-up at the inns due to overbooking, leading to some massive last minute shuffling of rooms and roommates, at the end of the day everyone is settled in.

Thursday 12/31- Wherever they might be, whether back in town or away in Canada, the students of Richmond did their best to meet the new year in style.  In Whistler, any number of room parties and bar crawls were popular options; back in town, Jack Delfante threw a party open to all those those left behind in the States.

Friday 1/1- With the coming of the New Year, the ski trip came to and end and the students packed themselves (and their hangovers) onto the busses and planes for the long trip home.

Saturday, 1/2- Richmond's own Homecoming Queen, Kristen Brown , celebrates her 18th birthday in style with a party at her house. Open to all, even those who don't know the birthday girl were welcome to attend and have one last blowout before the end of the holidays.

Monday 1/4- Richmond's doors open for the second semester of school. Alongside all the familiar returning faces, a handful of new ones could be seen around the hallways, as some late year transfer students came to town. Aside from the tours offered throughout the day for these new kids, the school day went on as normal, with tryouts for the Winter and Spring cheerleading team taking place after school.

Friday 1/8-Heavier than normal snows hit the peninsula today, shutting down roads and closing the town's schools for the day. Besides regular school activities, today was supposed to have been the first Pep Rally for the basketball team.

(One week jump)

Monday, 1/18- At 10:36 AM , former Richmond student Gary Barnett  enters the school during morning break, carrying two revolvers and thirty-six rounds of ammunition. Over the course of the next few minutes, he embarks on a shooting spree in the school Commons, resulting in eight students and two faculty members being killed, with over nineteen wounded. At the end of the shooting, Barnett kills himself.

Wednesday, 1/20-In the wake of the shooting, school was canceled until further notice at both Richmond and Pinebrook.. The school board met this night in the town hall to discuss the situation, deciding on a tentaive re-opening sdate of three weeks, as well, as the instalation of new security measures. Also, the police department instituted a temporary 11 PM curfew, applicable to all residents under the age of eighteen.

Friday, 1/22-Today markedGary Barnett's funeral- held quietly and privately in the early morning- as well as other funerals for his victims throughout the day. Kenneth Ortiz, Julia Kusonoki, and Ms. Hayes all were interred today. At night, the community came together for a candlelight vigil on the Richmond foorball field.

Saturday, 1/23- The funerals continued, with today seeing the burial ofSophie Barnes , Tom & Summer Brooks, Courtney Cooper, and Grant Crawford.

Sunday, 1/24- The last of the Richmond massacre victims were buried today, with Mrs. Buckner-Danes and Oliver Hall going to their final resting places in Arlington Cemetary.

THE FULL STORY

February at a glance

Monday 2/8 - School resumes for the first time since the January shootings. The readjustment period is a little rough around the edges- there is definitely some adjusting to the trauma on the part of the student body. Also some culture clash as Richmond students try and learn to live with the new school security policy- and some literal clash between the students and the security guards.

Wednesday 2/10 - After a few days, students are beginning to settle into a routine, of sorts, coming to accept that metal detectors and bag checks are a part of school life now. Throwing themselves into 'normal' school activities helps, and a large number of students today could be found placing orders for flowers to be ddelivered to friends and loved ones on Friday- the traditional Richmond High Valentines Day celebration.

Friday 2/12 - Not a class in school was to be taught without interruption today, as members of the National Honor Society could be found running all over the halls delivering roses of all colors to numerous students. In addition to this, today ballots were distributed to begin the nomination process for the Winter Formal Court in a little over a week.

Sunday 2/14 - Happy Valentines Day! While the school itself celebrated back on Friday, today was the day couples could be found going out on the town, dining and dancing... or managing to get one set of parents out of a house for the night so that they could prepare a romantic meal alone together.

Tuesday 2/16 - Today the members of the winter court were announced and students began voting to elect a king and queen for the upcoming dance; on the down side of the spectrum, the drama club took a bit of a blow as it was announced that auditions for the spring play would be delayed till next month.

Thursday 2/18 - In addition to the various students found around the halls arranging for nearly last minute dates to Saturday's dance, the big news today was the six-man fight that took place in the commons around lunchtime. All parties recieved a one day suspension, which some say contributed directly to Friday night's boy's basketball loss.

Saturday 2/20 - The annual Winter Formal dance was held tonight, with the majority of the senior class showing up and having a wonderful time. In spite of that, some personal traumas as well as another fight breaking out marred the evening a bit.

A fight erupts several days before the dance during lunch; it escalates into a six-way brawl with Shannon Elrey & Jack Delfante on one side, and Ely Caldwell, Chad Hawkins , and several other members of the basketball team on the other. It's put to a stop before anyone is injured, though a security guard takes a punch in the process. Suspensions are handed out all around, though all participants will be able to attend the dance.
Ely Caldwell & Shannon Elrey come to blows once again at the dance; this round ends with Ely being carted off to the hospital.

August: The Whole Story

August saw the birth of more than one super couple. Long term BFF's Adam Stuart & Lara Moss took their relationship to the next level becoming Richmond's latest 'IT'. Landon Carter decided to take a step down from the usual PPP's he's seen with (That's Pretty, Popular and Perfect for those not so in the know) when he was seen with none other than... Senior nobody Emma Bracken. Seriously Landon, a Drama Geek? We all know that won't last! While we're on the subject of a mixed match, hows this for unexpected? Lonely boy Oliver Hall may well have won the heart of the lovely, gymnastically inclined McKenzie Drew! Definitely a change from her last boyfriend, the no longer welcome in the halls of Richmond, Gary Barnett. Just when you thought it couldn't get anymore bazaar! Try Morgana Sinclair and Mason Carter on for size! Has the world gone to hell over the Summer Break or what!

What would any High School be without it's share of testosterone induced drama, even better when the firecracker right in the middle happens to be the trailer trash we all know and... well, Cassie Albernathy. At Open Day she and Kevin Marris got into it and the girl gave him a decent dressing down. When things turned physical however it was Ethan Givenchy (bandmate to the damsel in question and brother of virgin turned Vixen Brynn Givenchy) to the rescue. Both boys got in a couple of good blows but all in all. it was a bit of a fizzle.

The first Party of the almost School Year at Danny Dixons house saw more than it's fair share of Gossip for this Girl in the know. We start our evening with some pure ownage from the Tigers as they took on long term rivals, the Pinebrook Mustangs. People came, they cheered, they had some fun... and Sloan Michaels was so seriously throwing herself at Thadius Atkinson every chance that she got! I can only imagine what the rest of The Fab Four had to say about that.... and this girl is supposed to be a virgin? PLEASE! Now I can't actually be sure exactly who it was getting action that night (Hey I'm good, I'm not Gross!) But I do have it on good authority that Ely Caldwell opted for easy over effort and found himself in the arms of superslut Stephanie Bryant. Though I don't have any other pairings to report, I do believe the likes of Damon Johnson, Simon Armstrong and Derek Forseman managed to handle their business as well.

The beginning of school was far less entertaining than we had all hoped. The halls were filled with new faces while some old ones had disappeared (Imagine this Gossip hungry girls disappointment when she discovered that one half of the Junior Year IT couple had flown the coop, leaving only resident Australian, Kristen Brown to bother with. Far less interesting than when she had an offsider. I am happy to report some gossip however - sounds like there were baby showers in their future... and the baby wasn't hers!).

What would the first week back be without the first 'A-list' invitations to float around the halls. Landon Carter played host to an exclusive after party following the Tigers first official Game of the season. Disaster nearly struck when Best Bud of Landon, Damon Johnson actually tried to refuse Landon's new girlfriend entry to the party. See now, this is what happens little Emma when you try to live above your means! Words were had, tears were shed but all in all, crisis was averted. Class President, David Cox was seen with a pretty little blonde who came complete with an English accent. Though I hear he was just being nice and showing her around I am sure there is more to those two than even they realize yet! Apparently Sloan Michaels was done throwing her sorry self at Thad for one night because this little Gossip Monger spotted her with none other than brother of her so called Best Friend, Jacob Moss. Tsk Tsk Sloan. Keep this up and I'm going to have to tell you the joke about... well, let's just say it has something to do with legs and automatic doors...

August Flashback
Sloan Michaels   Meet Sloan Michaels! A one time member of the Fab Four before she suffered a tremendous fall from grace when her Fab Friends turned their backs on her. Unable to face the shame of going from Hero to Zero, Sloan and her family moved away from Ridgefield .

Sloan is best known for her spiral into sex and drugs when she followed around the popular Bad Boy Westin Jaxon and for thinking she could double cross Lara Moss and get away with it.

September: The Whole Story

September started with a bang, and so not the good kind if your name happens to be Tripp Gibbons. Some advice rich boy! When new to a school, be sure to make sure you don't leave off the name of the Queen B's BFF if you want to have any hopes of having a social life afterwards. The slight against Beth Armstrong was not the only one to make the social elites turn their nose at Tripps party. Never fear, The Queen herself (one Lara Moss) took charge and saw that the invite list had names more suitable of her company - It's a shame the rest of us lowly peasants didn't crack a mention. Not that it mattered mind you. Turns out the party was a complete bore with half the people that might have been interesting - total no shows!

The Homecoming Nominees were announced and though there were some surprises in there, this Gossip Girl could have told you it was coming. Come now Sloan Michaels! Did you honestly think anybody was going to take you seriously after you surrendered your V-Card to Thad Atkinson!!! Tell me now, was that before Richard Calhoun had a nibble or after Jacob Moss tried to weigh in? With the rest of The Fab Four in, Sloan should be extra careful. Long time friend of head FF Lara Moss and Ridgefield Ex-pat, Jacquie Winfield is back in town and you can be sure she is willing and able to fill the shoes of the fourth member. Sloan's days at the top are certainly numbered. She hasn't spoken to the FF's in days now and it seems she's found a new element to hang around with...

Yes, that's right, the player you either love to hate or hate to love (depending on how well he scored you in that little black book the boys think I don't know about...) has returned. You'd think it was the second coming of christ with his prostitute quickly moving to his side (Sloan - I know - Girl gets around more than the revolving door at Macy's during the post Christmas sales!) After spending the last year in Paris, Wes Jaxon has returned to the halls of Richmond High and you can be sure that offsider Simon Armstrong will be pleased to have him back. One person less pleased perhaps might be his former friend with benefits, Randi Dubois. Now it's been over a year since I last saw her and I'm pretty sure when she left, she didn't have a baby with her. It beg's the question... Hey Wes... whose the baby's daddy?

On the relationship front, my spider senses were definitely tingling when I saw David Cox & Cecilia Wilde together last month and once again, I was right. One that I didn't see coming was the joining of resident badass Kevin Marris and the newly crowned town bike, Brynn Givenchy. It was only this month that Kevin and Ethan Givenchy were throwing down over a few things that Kevin had to say about his now girlfriend. Once again though, total fizzer. Ely Caldwell stepped in to have Kevin's back and that we shall say was that. Don't worry, Kevin found another punching bag to take his aggression out on in the form of Cassie Albernathy. The two were seemingly in a heated conversation when Kevin ( who we all know to be a great deal bigger than the pint sized firecracker) sucker punched her! Never fear, Kevin got what he deserved when Ethan Givenchy cold cocked Kevin from behind in the street. Sorry Kev, but you know you had it coming!

Last but not least we have both the shortest relationship on record, and to date, one of the strangest pairings I have ever seen. Redheaded Regan Pickwell found herself a beau in Guy Greystone, only to kick said beau to the curb when she found out that he'd slept with Nina Montalbano. Seriously... the guy couldn't even keep it in his pants for a week? Did he go to the Wes Jaxon school of monogamy or something? As for the twisted pairing I mentioned? Try sweetness from the south, Rayceen Simple and hardass with a chip on his shoulder Dom Roberts. We all know this is a story that going to end in tears. There's a reason why people are from different sides of the tracks, it helps you decide who not to choose! Somebody please slap that girl before he does it himself!

September Flashback
Tripp Gibbons   Sometimes a person can have it all- wealth; looks; style; social training- and still manage to come off as a complete loser. Meet professional wannabe cool kid, Tripp Gibbons. Arriving new at Richmond for the start of Senior year, fresh from the best private schools money could buy, Tripp expected to soar right to the top of the social ladder, only to find the rungs quickly being sawed out from underneath his feet. Fact was, in a  place that already had more than it's fair share of the wealthy and well-dressed, Tripp quickly found out he didn't have anything new to offer, and nowhere to slip in. Compounding his problems were his amazingly disastrous attempts to throw a party for the social 'elite' without having a full working knowledge in advance who those might be. Kids, take Tripp as an object lesson in how not to throw an invite-only party.

Curiously, after a semester spent eating his lunch either alone or having to talk to the school losers, Tripp never showed back up for the start of the second Semester. Rumor has it Daddy Gibbons sent him back to private school so he could lick his wounds. Pity. So long, Tripp. You'll be missed- we don't think.

October Game Month

Well now people. If you thought that the nominees for Homecoming were a surprise, just wait until you hear who won, and more importantly, who didn't even rate a mention! Lets just say that noses were definitely out of joint, but I'll get into that shortly! October, the month that was, the month that saw parties and bets and awards ceremonies. The month of several noteworthy hook-ups and even a car accident or two just to keep you on your toes!

It all started when Junior wanna-be one of the big boys, Sean Akers hosted an open invite party at his place. Much to the surprise of many, The Fab Four girls actually showed their faces but lets face facts, during voting season there is probably nothing those girls aren't willing to do. The shock of the evening was that Lara Moss actually showed up in denim... I know right? Who knew the Queen herself actually had anything that cheap in her wardrobe? I would have thought anything other than silk might give her hives. Fellow Fab Four girl Beth Armstrong was also seen getting very, very friendly with sometime bad boy Derek Forseman. These two have been flirting and carrying on for so long now that, (to quote a fave movie of mine) "Would you two just do it and get it over with!"

The evening was as anyone might expect, something of a snore but there were a few little things to get this Gossip Girls attention. First of all, was that Erik Clements I saw getting all up on Keely Baits? (Cousin to Erik's close personal friend Wes Jaxon). Though I can't be entirely sure what is going on there, those two booked out of Sean's fairly early to get up to... well it's not like we need to use our imagination here people. Cousin Wes wasn't keeping out of the limelight either, certainly not with partner in crime, Simon Armstrong at his side. Never in my life did I think I would see Simon Armstrong on his knees at the feet of a girl, but I suppose when you consider that said girl was Kristen Brown, none of us should be really THAT shocked. She turned red, Wes swept in and shooed Simon away before escorting Kristen outside. Now what happened next, we can't be sure but I do know that neither returned after that. Something to note, I swore I saw Simon looking very pleased with himself afterwards. I wonder if this had anything to do with him asking her to the Homecoming Dance only to be rejected, or, if perhaps it had more to do with that little bet that nobody is supposed to know about... I can only hope that nothing happened between Kristen and Wes because honey! Before you even got there, Chanel Baptiste dumped her boyfriend just so she could get nailed by Wes in Sean's bathroom - No lie, totally gross! Oh, it gets worse! I hear it that when she and Wes 'eh eh eh' - she was pregnant with her now ex's baby!

The weeks following Sean's party were somwhat uneventful, the usual posters donning the walls all telling us why we should vote for 'X', promises being made that none of really cared about. Lets face facts people, Homecoming is little more than a popularity contest for the already popular. It's like the fact that the rich just keep getting richer. Still, we can't help but get sucked in, especially when there is the hope of there being an upset.

Spirit week was full of it's usual fun times, everything from Sweetheart Day to the kissing booth that was held during lunch. That's right, pay your way to make out with one of the Homecoming nominees. What will be next, Student Council endorsed prostitution? (Not that we have any need with the likes of Desiree Romero & Stephanie Bryant giving it away for free!) I even saw one girl forking over fifty bucks just to make out with Wes Jaxon. Seriously. $50.00! Somebody tell the bitch that he's really not that fussy. There were a few interesting points of note through the week though, like, since when did Erik Clements talk to a girl he slept with (I.E - Keely Baits) and since WHEN, are Kristen Brown and Wes Jaxon friends? I spotted them talking in the hall on more than one occassion and I felt this overwhelming urge to just slap the girl. We all saw what happened last time she tried to get close to one of our notorious players...

Anyway. We're almost to the end of the month and I so haven't even discussed the good stuff yet! The 24th was when it was all going down with the Homecoming Game for the Richmond Tigers taking on long term rivals, The Pinebrook Mustangs. Now in past years, taking on the Mustangs was a bit of a joke but after we lost three of our best to the other side (Casper Connors, Red Campbelltown & Gary Barnett), it hasn't been easy going on the hearts of a Tigers supporter.

Half time though was what it was all about for all you Gossip Gurus! There had been much debate over who it was that was going to take out the title of King & Queen, so imagine the surprise on everyone's faces when the tiara of popularity was placed on the head of Kristen Brown! If you thought Lara Moss was pissed then, wait till you hear that Girl Next Door McKenzie Drew came in runner-up, while the only FF not from the Laurelhurst zip code (Beth Armstrong) took the final honors in third place! For the guys it was Aaron Johnson crowned King - Less surprising I suppose though still, is there anything that boy does otrher than be perfect? Resident bad boy Wes Jaxon claiming runner-up honors while sliding into third we had Class President and beau to one of the resident English lasses (Cecilia Wilde), was David Cox. Perhaps though it wasn't the winners that was so shocking but those who didn't even rate a mention. Queen B Lara Moss missed out along with beau Adam Stuart, (funny how that should happen after they start dating), while Alexia Paterson and Thad Atkinson also missed out. Hey Thad... Think that could have anything to do with your little romp with super-tramp Sloan?

Well now, briefly back to the second half of the game, we had a very close call with the Tigers managing to clinch a 3 point victory over the Mustangs, quickly followd by the Homecoming Dance. To be honest with you folks, I was kind of bored by the turn out, but there were some interesting pair-ups that caught my eye. Fueling rumors that he's still doing her behind closed doors was the joining of Wes Jaxon & Randi Dubois. Though I'm assured she isn't stupid enough to go back there a second time, who knows what the truth actually is. I hear it told that Kristen Brown was going stag right up until the last minute when she walked through the doors with Thad Atkinson. Here's the part that shocked us all - Thad was actually a gentleman. I don't think his hands wandered once! His eyes certainly did but then, you had to see what that girl was wearing! It looked great but you know I swear, on a certain angle you could see some definite nipple action going on, OK! Other notable couples if for no other reason than that they were just unexpected include: Bryce Meadows & Rylee Winters, Lorenza 'Lucky' Way & Danny Dixon, and though they had been dating for a while by this stage, I had to do a double take when I saw the girl on Landon Carter's arm. Shining in a lusty red number was quiet girl Emma Bracken. Who'd have known it was possible that she could look like anything other than a doormouse.

While Wes & Randi busted out of there early, we can only 'assume' (whatever) to set up for the after party to be held at Wes' house, everyone followed after the dance where I must say folks, all the good stuff finally happened! Stephanie Bryant has been making herself pretty scarce around town, (perhaps because it was totally impossible for her to compete with the whorish ways of Sloan) but tonight she made a comeback, in the arms of Jared Hunter (Friend and Ex-boyfriend to Kristen Brown). The two were seen getting very cozy with each other while on the otherside of the room, daggers were being sent in their direction. Enter Chris Murray, who I happened to overhear ask the Queen for a celebratory kiss. She, being the good girl that she is (Oh please! Can you say REVENGE!) obliged, when all of a sudden, Stephanie Bryant is practically pushed off Jared's lap and he is actually demanding to have a moment with the Queen. Well, what happened next was sort of hard to work out given that they went outside and closed the door behind them (But you know me, I have my ways). From what I managed to overhear, Jared was trying to get her to forgive him? What for I have no idea but... things get pretty heated. There was yelling and crying and I'm not sure that I saw correctly from the angle I was on, but I'm pretty sure he tried to kiss her. I know! And you know what, this isn't even the good part yet. When it seemed that Queen K's night had been ruined, enter her Knight in Shining Armor.... WES... JAXON.... Oh yeah, like this story could get anymore twisted right? So there is this stand off between the two, and then there is this like, serious game of tug of war, both guys pulling her to their side when Kristen - takes Wes' hand - and tells Jared to leave. So, like a dog, off he went with his tail between his legs and off Wes and Kristen went... To a room upstairs! I SO told you guys that there was more to these two than meets the eye. So then my question is, has he actually slept with her yet or is he still trying to pry those legs apart??

So ok. The evening is over you think and everyone lives happily ever after? Nuh uh!! Randi Dubois, who had been sleeping off a case of way too much alcohol upstairs decides that it's time to get behind the wheel of the car and drive home (I know I know - idiot right!) Though obviously I wasn't there to see it myself, on her way home there was an accident with another car, the occupants of which were none other than Rylee Winters & Rayceen Simple (Who it seems is back again with walking comic book - cause of the tattoos - Dom Roberts). Though I don't know all the details - here's what I did find out: All three girls end up being taken to hospital. Rayceen suffered memory loss and had no idea who Dom was (I know, ouch to the ego right) and there is an investigation into the accident, not because Randi was possibly drunk - but because it seems that the breaks on the car that Ray & Rylee were in had actually been tampered with. How freakin scary is that?!

Of course - I did say car accidentS. Yes folks, in another part of Ridgefield the newly single Kevin Marris managed to write his car off, and almost himself in the process. Single I hear you say! Well, it turns out that Kevvy baby was only dating Brynn Givenchy so that he could get to her brother Ethan Givenchy. Life would have been so simple had Kevin only kept his mouth shut! Would you believe he actually fell for the skank and told her the truth? Well of course, she dumped his sorry ass and now Kev is in hospital with nobody to keep him company but himself. See kids, it doesn't pay to be a jerk!

Yeah I know, that was a lot to take in and I still have a few things I need to cover. Like, the fact that, and please correct me if I'm wrong because this seems too strange for words but! Like the fact... that Keely Baits and Erik Clements are now... dating? WTF! Now... I thought she was sleeping with Derek Forseman... or was it Danny Dixon? In other news... Cecilia Wilde and David Cox post the homecoming? Rumor has it - they are OVER! Well They don't seem to be talking which suggests to me it's pretty well over. Shame though, they were one of the few couples I actually liked! It's ok though folks. Just to keep some sense of balance and order in our world, I'm happy to report confirmation on two new couples: Alistair Drew (brother of McKenzie) and Haley Emerson, as well as one third of The Three Stooges, Damien Lowe and Violet Honeyford. They were seen being all cutesy in the Tunnel Of Love at the Carnival... yeah... I so nearly gagged! Oh, and just in case you were worried that Wes Jaxon was actually on his best behavior? Don't be. Turns out he did the horizontal hump with Nina Montalbano... god, is that girl just willing to sleep with ANYONE? No offense or anything Wes, it's not a go at you. She's just offered herself to more guys than you can poke a stick at! I heard it that she was even into Harlan Van Cortlandt and, no offense sweetie, but you were sort of skipped when they were handing out the looks.

October Flashback
Dom Roberts   Meet Dom Roberts! Bad boy with a pure heart? Well perhaps that's a little bit of a stretch of the truth but Dom was one of those guys that did his best to try and get on the right track in life, only to continually fall off the wagon (And we mean this literally!)

Dom is best known as the not one, but two time boyfriend of resident sweetheart Rayceen Simple. He came into her life, won her heart only to leave again! Ray was clearly devistated after Dom left, but just as she started to get her life back together - BOOM - he was back. They made a go of things but in the end, Dom just wasn't able to be the good guy that he wanted to be and he ended up skipping town as soon as the going got tough!

November Game Month

OH - MY - GOD! If you thought that October had it all, then you ain't seen nothing yet! It's time for a musical and believe me, there was no lack of drama this month with tears, tantrums and punch-ups... and I am not even talking about the School Production. To start however, it was announced that Richmond High would be putting on a production of Grease, sending all the Drama Geeks into fits of excitement at the thought of all the rehearsing and line learning and long hours that would need to go into it! Yeah... I know... are you trying to see what's so good about it? Cause I know I am. No real surprises in the casting side of things. Eben Redhail was cast as Danny, new girl Cali Waters as Sandy and the usual suspects filled out the rest of the roles. Some moron thought it was a good idea to actually make Carrie Demitz the Stage Manager. Seriously! That's like asking a dictator to run a country - and we all know how well that works out.

Party-wise... well I'd like to say that November started with a bang but, can anyone say SNORE! Erik Clements played host to a slightly belated halloween party to start the month off. Now I have to say this. Terrian Kesler, he's a good looing guy. He has money and he's at least reasonably popular. He could seriously find himself a decent girl... So uh... Why... WHY! Did he allow himself to go anywhere near Sloan Michaels? I mean... seriously. We know where she's been... EVERYWHERE! Still, they were spotted all over each other at Erik's, seems Sloan has had to accept the fact that her ass has been dropped by Wes Jaxon, not that I thought they were anything to begin with. As I understand it he just fed her drugs, used her for sex then got bored and moved on. Well done Wes, from what we can see that's about all she was good for. Oh, and speaking of hoes... Same night as Erik's, party girl Natalie Quinto was seen on a date with new guy Shannon Elrey, and much to our surprise, she was sober and wearing clothes!

In other party news, Stacey LeCroix-Martin played host to a very exclusive Pajama Party, but you know what was perhaps more interesting, was the significant absences of certain people, namely BFF of Danny Dixon, Kristen Brown. I heard it said that the two hadn't been speaking much lately, which funnily enough seems to coincide with the whole school finding out that Kristen was sleeping with Wes Jaxon. I don't have any hard evidence of course but well... You have to wonder really don't you? Perhaps somebody is feeling a little green? Of course, Danny could just be looking out for his friend, especially after having been there through her break-up with two timing beau; Casper Conners. The pajama party wasn't entirely gossip free though. I have it on pretty good authority that Host Stacey LeCroix-Martin and guest Danny Dixon were maybe doing a little more than sleeping, in a... no pajamas required kind of way...

The Ridgefield cold front wasn't enough to dampen the spirits of everyone at Richmond High, the cast of Grease heading out on mass to a karaoke night at Uncle Joe's. I was absent due to well, having the good sense to stay far away from the place however, I did manage to get the dish on who did what for you desperados!. We can thank Eben Redhail for getting the ball rolling when he performed the song made famous by Bette Midler in the sad yet touching movie (that still to this day makes me gag) Beaches: Under the Boardwalk. Shortly afterwards, the loudest man on campus, accompanied by the most adorable dog around (Georgie) and birthday boy himself, Jimmy Daniels, leapt from table to table (quite literally folks) while he gave a show stopping interpretation of Zoot Suit Riot (Save some for the show boy!). Being his birthday and all, presents were forthcoming with Carrie Demitz presenting Jimmy with a collar and lead, which rather than putting on Georgie, he wore around for the rest of the evening... What would The three Stooges be without their third? Damien Lowe of course could not be outshone and using one of the most frightening Italian accents known to man, he gave a prize winning performance of 'Whats a matta you?' Don't worry, they didn't hog the microphone all night (Though they did try). Newcomer (and the boy we have been seeing around town with Natalie Quinto), Shannon Elrey got into the mix with a couple of numbers, 'Goodbye yellow brick road' and 'Escape' (You know, the Pina Colada song!)

A notable absentee had caught this Gossip Girls attention, yet another reason of course to give the whole karaoke thing a miss. You had to be deaf, dumb, blind and stupid if you didn't hear about what had gone down at Richmond High earlier in the day. It started like any other Friday Morning, and before we knew it, Danny Dixon had Wes Jaxon pinned up against a locker. It all happened so fast my head is still spinning but here is how it went down. Danny starts up about some bet (Hmmm... Bedding Brown ringing any bells people) and throws a little black book that I know I'm not supposed to know about at Wes. God knows what Wes said next because before I knew it, Danny had popped him one right in the face and there was no holding back. Picture the stunned onlookers as the two boys got into it, Danny with a clear size advantage making a mess out of the small by comparison Wes, when who should arrive but, who we will soon learn to be the cause of all this action, Kristen Brown. Well, I have never seen somebody so pissed off in all my life. She was all "Get out of here" to Danny, even calling him a coward as he skulked away, bleeding and hurt. Wes on the other hand? Well, lets just say it took three people to get him out of the school, into the car, and off to the emergency room.

So I can hear you all asking, But why? Oh just you wait, it gets so much better. It wasn't until the next day when the truth came out, an argument between Jared Hunter and Kristen Brown revealing that Wes had made a bet (that's right, Bedding Brown) that he could sleep with her and not only did he win, but he was actually stupid enough to leave a record of his misdeeds in a book, bragging about how he had 'nailed her'. Well, Miss Brown stormed out on Grease rehearsals in tears while an unsuspecting Eben Redhail walked in and tried to stop her from skipping out... bad move! She quit. Then and there up and quit the play and the last we saw of her she was in Othello's looking very much worse for wear when... who should show up to meet her, but Wes Jaxon... What the?

Still not satisfied? (Man - you guys are demanding!) Fair enough, I know it's all very confusing but here's the rest of it! We need to go back to that Friday afternoon, where it turns out that Wes must have told her about the bet because she was seen fleeing his house with tears streaming down her cheeks. A little later she was spotted down by the pier talking to Brendan Knight, then a little after that (Oh please... this girl and the men in her life! I swear she is just a magnet for the worst kind of guys) I'm not exactly sure how it all went down BUT - Jacob Moss was spotted with Kristen Brown over his shoulder as he carried her to his car, then was seen driving her in the direction of his house. Can we get a memo to this girl? Take a vow of chastity woman because the people you affiliate yourself with are BAD NEWS! You know you have problems when three drunk guys are seen standing out the front of your house (Much later that night apparently) begging to be let in while one of them (Simon Armstrong I believe, while in the company of Wes Jaxon & Thad Atkinson) urinates on your front lawn...

So I like you am thinking - that's it. The strange story that was Wes & Kristen is over for good. No way any self respecting girl would be willing to take back any guy that actually made a bet that he could sleep with her and then bragged about it in a book to his friends? Yeah... no. After Thanksgiving Break the Richmond Tigers were playing the De Noch Pirates when, who should show up hand in hand, but Kristen Brown and Wes Jaxon. The two were spotted sitting together with Wes' one time Bonk Buddy, Randi Dubois and their son Hadden. It was like watching an episode of The Osbournes I swear!

Of course, it can't all be about those two, the end of season party at the Ridgefield Hotel later that night spinning more than it's fair share of juicy gossip. So. I'm assuming that Keely Baits and Erik Clements have broken up... cause if not... I can't imagine he'd be too impressed to find out that his girfriend was seen disappearing into a room with none other than Scott Harwood? Then again, Erik hasn't actually been around all that much lately so can we really blame the girl from wanting to move on? In other news (I know I said I wouldn't talk about them anymore but this was one of those moments that just caught my attention). I thought I 'may' have seen a little jealousy from Wes Jaxon when he came over to find Simon Armstrong trying to lure Kristen Brown away for a dance? Perhaps there was more to this than meets the eye because I can't see how Wes would get all bent out of shape over it... then again, Simon has never made a secret of the fact that 'he just wants to bone' Kristen. One couple never before seen gracing my Gossip Girl page would have to be: Alyssa Noble and David Cox. Hey, I like you thougght these two were just friends but I have it on good authority they were making eyes at each other during rehearsals of Grease and then, they were spotted kissing on the balcony at the party and then in the foyer downstairs. My spies also tell me they checked into a room.... together... alone. Supposedly 'nothing happened' but do any of us really believe that?

To round out the month of November we have the usual little tidbits. We all broke into a chorus of 'Hail to the chief' when it seemed that Lara Moss finally succeeded in her mission to run Sloan Michaels out of town. The former Fab Four was seen packing her belongings into a removal truck and jetting out of Ridgefield with her tail between her legs. I also heard that Terrian Kesler was left pretty upset by the departure which, well... Seriously Terr? You fell for Sloan? Just count your lucky stars that she didn't give you the clap and move on ok hun! Hookups were also abound with the new guy, Gabriel Stark seen with three different girls in like the space of a week or so. First he was seen kissing Cassie Albernathy... which... god what was he thinking. Seems the boy has, no taste however, given that he apparently did a little more than that with resident skanks, Stephanie Bryant and Desiree Romero (Thankfully not at the same time but still... taste... get some sweetheart!) It doesn't stop there for those two girls. I hear that Desi and Chris Murray had a thang while Steph? I don't have names but I do believe that the sluttiest girl there ever was had something of a threesome with two of Richmond's finest. Speaking of sluts... Though Natalie Quinto is supposedly dating Shannon Elrey, I heard Scott Harwood openly bragging that he'd been sticking it to her. Though it could have been rubbish, you have to think it's possible given Natalie's history prior to Shannon.... Last but not least, this time on the dating front (and god I hope I'm wrong given what happened with Wes and her ex last month) but apparently, Chanel Baptiste is now dating nice guy Hayden Miller... Please, somebody tell me I have bad information because Hayden, well he's nice and Chanel... well I'm sure you can think of a colorful word to describe her.

OH! And before I forget... Can anyone tell me why Shannon Elrey was spotted carrying a wet and crying Brodie Morris-Harwood back to his house in the rain after she had been seen talking to Thad Atkinson? Funnily enough, somebody tried telling me they saw those two together at the end of Football Season party. Back then I wouldn't have believed it but after seeing this? Well, you have to wonder don't you? We all know that Thad is a bit of a jerk sometimes but surely he wasn't that bad... then again, one of Brodie's buds, Rylee Winters did slap Thad going back a couple of months so maybe he really is that big an ass? On another note. Cassie Albernathy, Gabriel Stark and Corey Tucker. What do these three have in common? Well, nothing I thought (though both boys have been runored to have some sort of romantic link to Cassie, the latter of whom I strongly doubt because he is, well Corey and she is, well Cassie). Still, I'm hearing something about a snowball fight, a car and Corey having to come in and get Cassie out of there before things could get really bad? The things that happen when my back is turned I swear! Oh and finally (The last time I swear! It's Gossip People! If you stop making it, I'll stop talking about it!) So, did anyone get a look at Terrian Kesler's locker the other day? I thought Sloan must have returned when I saw that somebody had superglued a pair of panties to his locker door, but no. Would you believe it was none other that our newest Dictator, Carrie DeMitz? Makes you wonder what those Drama Peeps really get up to at those rehearsals of theirs!

November Gossip
So who exactly are the Fab Four and why am I hearing so much about them? They are the girls you love to hate, yet wished like anything they would love you in return. They rule the school in their designer label shoes and $1500 hand bags. They are the elite of Richmond High and they kill you because, they know it.

It has been said that you are nobody until you get the nod from the girls in Gucci, Lara Moss leading the pack with BFF's Alexia Paterson, Beth Armstrong and the newest to wear the FF label, Jacquie Winfield, who stepped in soon after the fall from grace of previous FF, Sloan Michaels.

A party that doesn't have their names on the list is doomed for Social Failure and a slight against one is a slight against them all. They were the girls that made High School hell and yet somehow kept things interesting because when it comes to The Fab Four, you never know what you are going to get, but you can be sure it's going to be juicy!

December Game Month

The beginning of the month was far from exciting, given the fact that exam season was coming towards us like a run away train. Between people trying to study and the cast of Grease trying to juggle both that and rehearsals, it's no wonder I have very little gossip to report. Never fear little ones. With the end of a semester comes the standard end of semester parties and rest assured... The students of Richmond did not disappoint.

So to get things underway I must say, love may not be in the air as such but it does seem that we have a new couple walking our halls. Though I can't even be sure when and how it happened, Drama Club girl Claire Stevens has managed to snag herself Laurelhurst rich boy, Jonathan Sumpter (the third - just in case there was any confusion over which one!). They were seen looking pathetically cute all over the place, along with last months new couple David Cox & Alyssa Noble. It's almost like cupid has flown into Laurelhurst and sprinkled them with fairy dust... well, if your name isn't Lara Moss. I heard she had to make a little trip to Detroit (You cant get there by bus kids... well ok, you could, but it would take a REALLY LONG TIME!) Something to do with her loverboy Adam Stuart. It seems the Mayor's son got into a little strife in a club with his former friends from The Chesterfield Academy, and rather than call daddy dearest, he asked Lara to bail him out. What's that Queenie, trouble in paradise?

One relationship not only to end up on the rocks, but to break into a million pieces as it was smashed against the ground was the ever baffling combination of Landon Carter and Emma Bracken. We always knew they could never last and I suppose we should be impressed that they made it this long. Poor ole Emma had her heart broken when at the Grease Cast Party, Damien Lowe broke the news to her that Landon had cheated on her with Delta Carr, sister to Damien's bud Ezra Carr. Emma was spotted running out of Terrian Kesler's house with tears streaming down her cheeks. Sadly, that's probably the most interesting thing to report from Terrian's party. Still, it was full of the drama types so I have no doubt that fun was had by all. How could they not have had fun, after the send off given to the by the two streakers that hijacked the final curtain call. They may have been wearing masks but it dosn't take a genius to work out that this was the work of Ezra Carr and Joelene Carthew. I think this even trumps their prank from last Christmas, when they kidnapped the baby jesus from the church nativity scene and took compromising photos of him all over Ridefield. Ever wonder why the baby is now chained to the manger...

The night before mind you, it was Tim Davenport's turn to play host as he threw the big end of exam bash. Noteworthy mentions include Wes Jaxon and Kristen Brown who... Well at what point do these two actually become a couple? We're always seeing them together and they certainly act like a couple half the time but every time I try to get a straight answer out of anyone, I get the run around. I'd go straight to the sources but I don't even know if they know what they are. Strangely absent was Tim's long time girlfriend, Ronnie Steele. She would probably have kicked herself had she known what was going down, a not entirely sober Tim getting propositioned by Desiree Romero (no surprise there!) in his kitchen, only to have Kimberley Broady come to his rescue. Hmm... Not the first time that I have seen those two together. Better watch out V, somebody may have their eyes on your man.

In other news... How should I put this... Is there a closet that Zak Zellers came out of that I should no about? I could be wrong but, well I was watching him with Brodie Morris-Harwood, Rylee Winters & Rayceen Simple and... well lets just say that if that boy flapped his hands any more then I could have used him to power a light bulb. I know, it's a bit of a leap but did you see the pink shirt he had on? Plus, well since when did Zak Zellers hang out with anyone from the female species without getting a drink thrown in his face? It wasn't all that long ago that he and Simon Armstrong were caught sneaking into the girls change rooms with a camera. According to Simon he was just trying to get Zak out of there but if I were willing to believe that... well I'd be willing to believe that Chanel Baptiste was still a virgin!

Zak wasn't the only one to find himself in the company of the aforementioned ladies. Whether it was a bet, or just a crazy coincidence (like I believe in those) but mid conversation, Brodie runs off into the middle of the party and returns with Ridgefield Lifer, Callen Mase. So, like most people, I think nothing of it... until what should my wandering eyes fall upon, but Callen Mase and Rayceen Simple making out on the couch! Well he is certainly a step up (Literally in terms of height) from her previous connections, Dom Roberts and Thad Atkinson. I wasn't too sure that anything more than a typical party hook-up had gone down, until I was on the bus to Whistler with the rest of the lower class.

Whistler? What's this? Were you living in a vortex people? As has been a tradition among the Seniors of Richmond High, members of the Senior Class organized to go on a Ski trip to Canada, those who were of age (the legal drinking age being 18) were armed with their I.D while the rest of us merely found somebody who was to buy the alcohol for us. The trip there was a long one (Unless you flew like all the Laurelhurstians did) but it provided some entertainment. We were spared watching Wes and Kristen be all over each other, only to find that Callen and Rayceen were willing to take their place. Not just a one night thing it seems. Can't be sure if these two are in fact dating but I do know it's looking promising.

Anyway, upon arrival it seemed there was a major mix up with the rooms, the world seemingly coming to an end for Lara Moss & Beth Armstrong when they found themselves bunking with none other than super sleaze,Zak Zellers! Add Keiran Dillon into the mix (The newly single Keiran Danvers who had been dumped by girlfriend Carli Donald, the same Keiran Danvers who has been chasing after Beth on and off for what seems like an eternity) and well, suffice to say, the look on Lara's face still brings a little smile to my face. Interestingly enough though, she wasn't bunking with boyfriend Adam Stuart. I heard that he had told her he wouldn't be coming on the trip. I can only imagine her surprise when he did in fact come, and ended up bunking with Kristen Brown, Jared Hunter, Hayden Miller, Annalee Masterson and.... Jacob Moss? Like I said - major catastrophe with the rooms!

She didn't seem to be too concerned though. I spotted her not once, but twice in the company of bad boy Chad Hawkins and this is not the first time these two have been linked together. Before Lara and Adam became official, rumor has it that Chad & Lara were seen making out on the couches at the Luxe Bar. Who knows what might have happened had Adam not stepped in and taken her home. Anyway, back to story at hand. Lara and Chad were first spotted chatting in the foyer of the hotel, only to be seen taking to the slopes together a little while later. Interestingly enough, they didn't go where everyone else went to ski... they went off somewhere nice and private, away from the prying eyes of gossip lovers everywhere. One can only wonder what may or may not have happened up there. It's not like any of us still believe she is a virgin, not after dating Adam Stuart all these months.

Though I thought that perhaps Kristen Brown was still on bad terms with her Ex, Jared Hunter (Given the whole debacle at Grease and at Homecoming before that), they were spotted spending some cozy time together in a hot tub. So, maybe things with her and Wes aren't as solid as I was starting to think... Well, never mind. It wasn't that much later that I saw Kristen getting into the elevator with Wes Jaxon, only to find he had Desiree Romero all over him. Just when you think that this balloon has finally burst, Wes actually goes after a teary Kristen and everything goes back to normal. Seriously you guys. What on EARTH is going on with you two?

Don't think the Whistler kids were the only ones to be having fun. Back in Ridgefield, Jack Delfante was busy making plans for his own New years bash for all those that were left behind. Sadly, as I wasn't actually there, I don't really have all that much to report, which is such a shame because believe me, I am DYING to see the inside of the newly purchased Delfante Mansion (OK, admittedly that may have something to do with it's previous occupants, former Ridgefield resident Sloan Michaels and her moderately well known Director Father). For those of you that missed the memo about our very own Rag to Riches story? Jack Delfante came into some serious money when his family won the lottery at the end of Junior year. After a semester abroad he is back in Ridgefield and It has been goodbye second hand cars and shopping at Walmart, and hello luxury. Of course, it does beg the question... you can take the family out of Floreat, but can you actually take Floreat out of the family? According to the Delfante party-goers, we can answer that question with a definitive no...

Sadly though I must say we have very little else to report. I heard that Brendan Knight and Desiree Romero (oh look... that name, again!) were seen going into the Ridgefield hotel a little before Christmas and we all know what must have happened there, but other than that I really can't help you! It was the season to be jolly so I suppose that I can be forgiven for being otherwise distracted. Between Christmas shopping and... OH! I did see the most adorable thing when I stopped into Othello's for my usual Mocha-latte. Seems that Kristen Brown has family in town and she was showing off her niece, a blonde little bundle of joy with boundless energy. Kristen may not have found this all that cute but you should have seen this little girl when she met Jacob Moss. Oh, he was her new best friend. She was sharing her cookie with him and playing with him. Jacob almost looked human, apart from the fact that he was sporting one serious hangover and I could smell the liquor on him from over at the counter. The priceless moment though was when the little girl suggested that her 'Auntie Kissie' could be Jacob's girlfriend. Out of the mouth of babes I swear. Needless to say, Kristen happened to hear this little suggestion and promptly dropped the coffee she had just made. Ahhh dear me... I must say though. A member of the Brown Family actually thinking that Jacob Moss was a nice guy. Seems to me Kristen that bad taste in men is an inherent trait

Another two people that were supposedly out doing a spot of Christmas shopping thought they might save some money by getting themselves a five fingered discount. Yes, it's hard to believe that Wade Campbell and Coral Redhail would find themselves in such a predicament but I swear, I saw security busting them with my own eyes. I know what you're thinking. Coral Redhail is so straight even rainbows fear to bend in her presence but if it makes you feel any better, there's more to this story than meets the eye. Turns out that the charming little Wade (This is the same guy that thought it was a good idea to go head to head trading insults with Cassie Albernathy) simply lied to get Coral in trouble. There was, as you can imagine, a heated exhange but, way I hear it? Wade actually had the nerve to slap Coral (Yeah I know, dumbass) and she extracted a little revenge of her own by blinding the fool with Pepper Spray. Score one the Redhail Clan. Hey Eben! If you ever get into a fight, at least you know that you'll have your sister to back you up!

December Flashback
Every school has to have one. We call them the slut in denial, the girl who will sleep with anything with two legs and a heartbeat and yet still insists that she is pure. Meet Chanel Baptiste, one time resident of Ridgefield whomoved back to New Orleans in the New Year.

She's the kind of girl who will break up with her boyfriend so she can sleep with resident player Wes Jaxon, or cheat on good guy Hayden Miller to have a Lesbian romp with Desiree Romero. The guys around Richmond may be missing her, but the Students against sexually transmitted diseases sure don't!

January Game Month

Pre the events of January 18th

Now how does that song go again? It's my party and I'll cry if I want to? Well, apparently if you're Kristen Brown it goes more like: "It's my party and I'll dance with Bryce Meadows, drink with L.B Kinmore, shoot daggers at my Ex Jared Hunter who is getting mighty friendly with Keely Baits, get absolutely trashed with Simon Armstrong before being carried up to my bed by Wes Jaxon... if I want to." The girl had a birthday and she wasn't willing to do anything in halves it seemed. The night seemed to be going tremendously well until she spotted Jared & Keely together. It's hard to really know what set her off but I don't think she was too pleased when Jared raided her fridge before baling on the party very early on to do... well, we all know what with Keely Baits. If she had a bad night you wouldn't know because by the end of it, both she and Simon Armstrong were by far the drunkest people still left and Kristen was heard, rather loudly telling Wes that Keely was going to be in for a "verrry short night"...

Other news to ring in the New year with. It seems that break-up season is upon us. The not one, but three to bite the dust include: Claire Stevens and Jonathan Sumpter, leaving things on amicable terms but leaving them all the same. Hayden Miller and Chanel Baptiste, who split following Chanel's move back to New Orleans. This one we all will agree is for the best. I'm not sure that Hayden actually knows about his now ex-girlfriends little foray into lesbianism with Desiree Romero but like Terrian and Sloan, he can be grateful he made it out without any Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Why is it that the nice guys always end up with the bad ones huh? And last but not least, break-up number three, as predicted by this Gossip Guru only last month, is that of long term couple, Lara Moss and Adam Stuart. There was no fanfare to go with this one. More of a, they were on one day and off the next. I wonder if this has anything to do with Lara being spotted at Vultures having coffee with Chad Hawkins. Coincidence? I think not.

Amidst the groans, School started back again after the Christmas break and with that we had a few late transfers into Richmond High. Trent Brown was actually spotted giving a personal tour to new girl Sophie Barnes. The two seemed to be getting on well enough... so well in fact that dare I say it, is it possible that Trent is in fact straight after all? In case Kristen Brown was feeling a little lonely as the only Australian around Richmond, another new face has come in to mix things up. If her first day is anything to go by though, Country is about the only thing that Skye Glenning has in common with Kristen. Skye got off to spectacular start when she managed to lose half the contents of her bag in the middle of the commons whilst talking to Brodie Morris-Harwood, then, and here is when things get interesting, in that almost morbid curiosity kind of way...

Skye finds herself in the cafeteria during lunch down one cell phone (which the aforementioned Brodie had picked up when she left it in the Commons earlier that morning). So, instead of doing what a normal person might do and... I don't know... ask Brodie if she had seen it, she stumbles across yet another unsuspecting newbie (I swear, they're like gremlins, they keep multiplying when you squirt them with water!), Oscar Madison. Now Oscar, or O as I believe he's known is happily sitting down to a quiet lunch when Skye decides to empty the contents of her bag on the table next to O, in turn startling him, which, causes a piece of apple to lodge in his throat and the poor boy starts to choke. Now I, like so many other students in the cafeteria that day sat there, not even sure of what to do as Skye, runs to his aide... by hugging him? I can only assume she was attempting to do the Heimlich maneuver but somebody ought to tell the girl how it's meant to be done because it looked more like she was in a Lamaze class than anything else.

Meanwhile... O is turning blue and nobody seems to be doing much of anything, when Cassie Albernathy of all people jumps in, pushes Skye out of the way, smacks O on the back a few times, in turn, dislodging the piece of apple and allowing him to breathe again. Wait for it, I'm not even at the punch line yet. So, while O is sitting their trying to recover, Skye decides that she is going to flip out, not because the boy could have died... but because he actually had the nerve to choke on her while she was trying to find her phone.

Ah yes... they come in all shapes and sizes these new people.... Funny thing is, I don't think she ever did find that phone of hers. If I were Brodie, I'd give it to O so that he can extract some revenge.

While I did briefly mention the other Australian to be at Richmond High, I don't believe I told you what went down between her and Ex Boyfriend Jared Hunter during one of their classes. Before I start this story, let me just point out that the first day of school, also happened to be Kristen's birthday. With that in your mind, imagine my surprise when I pop into their classroom to speak to the teacher, only to see that the two of them are engaged in a very heated conversation. Now, until I develop that supersonic hearing, I can't tell you exactly what went down but I will say this. SHE - LOOKED - PISSED! By the end of it, she gathered her things and moved away from Jared and people... I have not see them so much as look at each other since.

While on the question of her birthday - That night she was spotted in a restaurant with none other than her 'non-boyfriend', Wes Jaxon. So ok, what is it with these two? I know I keep saying the same thing, but I'm still hearing that they aren't 'officially' a couple and yet there they are having dinner together for her birthday? Not to mention the fact that ever since that night she has been seen wearing a shiny new diamond pendant around her neck. Next month, if these two are still going at it I am going to officially declare them a couple, whether they like it or not!

Back to the new faces, or should I say an old face that seems to have returned... Apparently these two had a memory lapse or something, though I suppose to be fair, Jacquie Winfield did leave town a while back, but, Christian Taylor (oh I can just hear the gasps now) has reared his fine looking head again. The 'Taylors' have returned to Ridgefield. Brother, Sister, Mother and... Mothers girlfriend. Surely no self-respecting gossip greedy individual has forgotten the scandalous circumstances that saw Christian leave town more than a year ago now. Oh he's back... and what should he do as his first order of business? Yes, make an enemy out of Jacquie. Can't be sure what has been said between these two but we here at Richmond have all learned how to read a Jacquie Winfield death glare. Whatever you did Christian, not a good move. Just because you used to be a part of the inner circle doesn't mean that you still are. Oh I cannot wait to find out what Lara Moss thinks of his return!

Speaking of Miss Moss. It seems that with her being single she;s been feeling a little playful and we all know that doesn't bode well for the likes of say... Zak Zellers? Wasn't the cheerleading squad in for a treat when Zak, who had turned up under the guise of playing reporter for the reader, was lured into trying out for the squad. I have never seen anybody go more red when, after his spectacular rendition of the routine to Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty', Zak discovered that he had been set up by Lara Moss and he had completed the majority of the GIRLS routine, all by himself. I think it might have been the flashing of cameras that might have been the icing of the cake, Zak soon after seen leaving the gymnasium with what was left of his dignity in tatters. Personally though... I think he really owned it, especially when for the finale, he ripped his shirt off and threw it to the ground.

Though the coming week was supposed to be full of exciting times with the Pep rally and the first game of the basketball season, a nasty cold snap saw the doors of Richmond High closed meaning that this Gossip Girl, has practically nothing to report.

Post the events of January 18th

Monday, 1/18- At 10:36 AM , former Richmond student Gary Barnett  enters the school during morning break, carrying two revolvers and thirty-six rounds of ammunition. Over the course of the next few minutes, he embarks on a shooting spree in the school Commons, resulting in eight students and two faculty members being killed, with over nineteen wounded. At the end of the shooting, Barnett kills himself.

This is a day that will never be forgotten by the people of Ridgefield. Here the official statement given by Richmond High's Principal Caldwell and Vice Principal Moore. Following this statement is what happened in the days after the shooting.

DOWNTOWN - TOWN SQUARE
WEDNESDAY, 8.00 A.M.

"Ladies and Gentleman of the Ridgefield community,

I rise today to honour the victims of the terrible gun incident that has taken place in our high school, Richmond High, this past Monday morning. Today is a day to mourn the countless lives that have been affected by this tragic incident, and the numerous similar tragedies that have happened over the past few years. No child should fear for his or her life in school, and no child should feel so alienated that he or she perceives violence as their only option.

Gary Barnett was my student. When Mr. Barnett entered our school grounds on Monday, January 18th, he had already cried out for help. For three years he cried out for help, but we did not listen. Gary has been a violent kid since I met him in Freshman Year. He bullied and assaulted other school peers. For three years we condemned and reprimanded his angry behaviour. By Junior Year he was considered an unmanageable student. Last year, we finally banned him to return to our school. On Monday, however, he returned on his own accord.

I don't believe we listened.

I understand it is difficult to comprehend violence on this scale. While this was clearly an act of rage, it was also one of fear and desperation. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the many victims this dreadful event has left behind. We today grieve for the loss of

Sophie Barnes, Senior Year; Sophie died in the Commons before she could receive medical help. With her were two students; Bryce Meadows and Humphrey Hewitt.

The state of Michigan is working closely with FBI Officials, local law enforcement, and the community health system to provide additional resources and support that may be needed. On that note, I would like acknowledge and thank the following: Ridgefield Fire Police; Ridgefield Town Sheriff's Department; Michigan State Police and local law enforcement; ambulance and emergency response teams; Ridgefield Memorial Hospital and all the related medical providers; coroners; churches; community volunteer groups; transportation providers. To all those we failed to mention, thank you, and apologies for not naming you.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally inform to the Ridgefield community that additional safety measures will be enforced in our public high schools. Richmond High and Pinebrook High are working together to install a similar physical security system that will include security cameras, entry check points and possibly metal detectors. We are also preparing to develop a thoughtful approach plan to safer schools with the state of Michigan which will include a variety of efforts addressing physical safety, educational practices, and programs that that support the social, emotional and behavioural needs of our students.

The school board is having a meeting tonight to discuss, among many emergency matters, a timely moment for the re-opening of our Richmond High doors to our students and staff.

I urge the Michigan community to keep the victims of Monday's appalling events and their families in their thoughts and prayers. I also urge for our schoolchildren's parents support in this difficult time. Our kids need us now more than ever.

Thank you and God bless you."

January Gossip
Careful now ladies! These are the boys that your mother warned you about, the boys who keep your father up at night because though we all know deep down that a guy only has one thing on his mind, these ones don't pretend to play nice about it. They all have something, be it looks, money, athletic ability and they all know that when you look at them, you're wondering what it might be like to cross that line.

Many have tried to tame them in the past and many it seems have failed, leaving a long list of conquests and broken hearts in their wake as they move from one bed to the next, staying long enough for that afterglow cigarette but out the door before the snuggling can begin.

Though you try to resist their charms, most of you fall for the same old lines time and time again. Who can blame you though? They all have something to offer, just don't go expecting them to promise you the world and actually deliver on it. Remember these names girls because you will thank me for it one day. Thad Atkinson, Wes Jaxon, Jacob Moss and Simon Armstrong... card carrying members of the Richmond Players Club.

February Game Month

After the tragic events of January 18th, the student body of Richmond High found themselves with some unexpected time off from school. Unlike most vacation weeks, however, this wasn't exactly a time of fun and games; more like sober reflection. All things considered, it's safe to say most students were more or less looking forward to the school doors re-opening and the familiar routine being re-established. Unfortunately, they would be denied even that, as when school finally resumed after nearly a month, it brought with it numerous changes, the most significant and obvious being the new security guards, metal detectors, and surveillance cameras.

Adjusting was needed on both sides, as the guards and students both tried to adapt to the new Richmond. There was some tension that couldn't be ignored, though; the very first day back found former shooting victim Gabriel Stark getting into an altercation with a too-pushy guard. This was only the start of a long line of unfortunate incidents, culminating in the near-clubbing of student Jack Delfante when he accidentally punched a guard that was trying to break up a brawl in the commons. Since then, security head Randolph Davies has spent considerably more effort keeping the looser cannons on his security staff away from the students, and more students are finding themselves peremptorily assigned detention or sent to the office instead of allowing any further altercations to develop.

On the lighter side of things, February is always a good month for romance. And while most of the student body may have still been too shell-shocked to start looking for a new relationship to lose themselves in, the existing couples of the school found comfort in each other's arms, with both Valentine's Day and the annual Winter Formal dance falling within a week of one another. Valentine's Day was, as always celebrated in the school by the sale and delivery of roses, courtesy of the National Honor Society- whimsically nicknamed 'Team Cupid' for the occasion.

And then there was the dance. While it was as elegant and well-attended as always, even this celebratory event couldn't escape the shadows that had been lingering over the school. Leaving aside the fact that more than more than half of the winter court members had either been injured on January 18th or had lost a loved one that day, and that the two people on the court with arguably the biggest losses (McKenzie Drew and Michael Brooks) were elected King and Queen of the dance, then there was the matter of... basic violence. Two days beforehand a fight had broken out in the commons which had escalated into a full six-person brawl. While all participants, including instigators Ely Caldwell and Shannon Elrey, were given a day's suspension, they were all still allowed to attend the dance. Possibly a mistaken choice on the administration office's part, since a fresh fight broke out between Ely and Shannon again on the dance floor- this time when Ely let Shannon know exactly what- or, rather, who- his then-girlfriend, Natalie Quinto, had been getting up to behind his back. And while once the dust settled, people still managed to appear to enjoy the end of the dance, there is no doubt that the sight of a bloodied Ely being carried off the floor to be driven to the hospital would linger in people's minds.

February Flashback

Sometimes the highest of the high and the lowest of the low can not only be blood relations, but wind up living just down the hall from one another. Meet Morgana Sinclair and Tobey Girard, cousins with nothing in common. Morgana is a product of breeding of the most exclusive European boarding schools, accustomed to the finest things in life...and always getting her way. Tobey is, for lack of a better phrase, a geek with a fondness for comic books. (And a fondness for other men. Not that there's anything wrong with that...) When Tobey came out of the closet to his mother, she couldn't cope with the truth and shipped him off to live with his wealthy relatives in Ridgefield. Comedy ensued. Poor Laurelhurst princess Morgana had to cope with the social albatross of not only her embarrasing cousin, but also finding herself falling into a relationship with less than socially acceptable Mason Carter. Finding herself scandalized and not at the top of the chain as she was used to, it was only a matter of time before she talked her mother into sending her back to a private school where she could reign supreme again- some people say the shooting just gave her a good excuse. And as for our Tobey- finding out that her son could have been killed made his own mother realize that some things were more important than who your son likes to date, and he quickly found himself being driven back home to reconcile and finish the school year back in his hometown of St. Louis.
